Ivan Toni, the star of Al-Ahli Saudi, confirmed that his team's match against Al-Hilal was a battle and that his team showed great character in the second half of the match.
Al-Ahli drew with Al-Hilal 3-3 in a match played yesterday, Friday, in the third round of the Roshen Saudi League.
Toni said in televised statements: "The match was extremely difficult, against a strong team that managed to score 3 goals in the first half."
He added: "We fought against Al-Hilal in the second half, as the match was undoubtedly a battle, and we succeeded in correcting our course by scoring 3 goals."
He continued: "The first half was poor, but we showed great character in the second half, and the most important thing is not to lose."
