Lautaro had been suffering from lower back pain in recent days, which raised doubts about his participation. He did not participate in training on Thursday and Friday, and only sat on the bench during Inter's 2-0 victory over Ajax in the Champions League, without playing in the match.

Reports indicate that Martinez's availability for the match against Sassuolo is still uncertain, with a strong possibility that coach Cristian Kivu will rely on the duo of Francesco Pio Esposito and Marcus Thuram in the attack.
