
Shihab Rizq Undergoes Successful Surgery and Will Miss Al-Karma for Five Months
The Iraqi Al-Karma Club announced today, Tuesday, that its player Shihab Rizq underwent successful surgery after suffering a partial tear in the anterior cruciate ligament during team training.
The club added: "The player underwent the operation at Aspetar Hospital in the Qatari capital, Doha, and it was completely successful, and he will be absent from the team's ranks for up to 5 months."
It stated: "The club management and medical staff will closely monitor the player's condition to ensure his full recovery and return to the pitch as soon as possible."
The club also pointed out that Al-Karma opened its season in the Iraqi league with an important away victory against Duhok with a score of one goal to none in the first round, and is seeking to maintain its level in the second round when it faces Al-Naft on September 20.
