
Moamen Suleiman: We are ready to face Al-Sadd and we aim to achieve victory
Before facing Al-Sadd Qatari team in the opening of the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League, the Iraqi Police Club held a press conference where coach Moamen Suleiman and goalkeeper Ahmed Basel spoke about the team's readiness and aspirations for the match.
Coach Moamen Suleiman stated: "We are proud to represent Iraq in a major continental tournament, and Police plays for its fans and all the fans of Iraq."
He added: "The longest football season in the world has affected the players' readiness, and we have given the players well-planned rest periods."
He continued: "The team's level is good, and we did not have enough gathering time, and despite the difficult circumstances, we have created an acceptable readiness for the match."
He concluded: "Our fans are excited, and the most important thing is that we deliver a performance worthy of Iraq's name, and we are betting on the team's character on the field."
