Adam Ounas Joins Qatari Al-Siliya on a One-Season Contract
Adam Ounas expressed his happiness about embarking on a new experience with Qatari club Al-Siliya, after signing a contract that extends for one season, in a step through which he hopes to regain his brilliance after an unconvincing first season with Al-Sadd.
Ounas made his debut with his new team as a substitute in the match where Al-Siliya lost to Al-Gharafa 2-0 in the fourth round of the Qatar Stars League, where he tried to contribute to the attack, but his teammates, including his compatriot Yacine Brahimi, secured the victory.
Ounas said in statements to the Win Win website: “I am very happy here, we have a good team even though we have not won yet, but we will return, God willing. I will try to support my young teammates; they are talented players and need support, and over time we will start winning.”
The Algerian player also confirmed that he aims through this experience to restore his normal level and attract the attention of the national coach, hoping to return to the ranks of the “Greens” before the upcoming major tournaments, including the Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for the end of this year and the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Ounas also has the opportunity to appear again through the local national team, which is preparing to participate in the Arab Cup in Qatar between November 1 and 18.
