Bayern Munich has entered the race to sign English international defender Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, amid Liverpool's desire to acquire him during the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to reliable German journalist Christian Falk, Guehi is an interesting option for Bayern Munich's management, which has decided to monitor the defense's performance this season before making final decisions regarding future signings.

Falk explained that Guehi's future at Bayern Munich may be linked to the fate of Frenchman Dayot Upamecano, whose contract ends in the summer of 2026, which could prompt the Bavarian club to look for a long-term replacement.

He confirmed that if the club decides to sell Upamecano, Guehi would be an ideal choice, especially after the successful experience of Michael Olise, who also came from Crystal Palace.

On the other hand, Liverpool still holds priority in the deal, having held serious talks with Crystal Palace last summer, which were halted due to coach Oliver Glasner's insistence on keeping the player.

Liverpool is expected to return with a new offer to sign Guehi in the summer of 2026, especially amid ongoing reports linking Ibrahima Konaté with a move to Real Madrid.
