Union Places Abdullah Mado as an Alternative Option if the Contract with Al-Omari Fails

The management of Al-Ittihad Club has begun serious steps to communicate with their counterparts at Al-Ettifaq Club to explore the possibility of contracting with defender Abdullah Mado, in anticipation of the ongoing negotiations with Al-Nassr regarding the acquisition of Abdulilah Al-Omari.

Al-Omari is considered the primary target for the management of Al-Ittihad in the transfer market, as significant progress has been observed in recent hours in discussions between the two clubs, especially with the player's strong desire to wear the club's jersey this season.

However, negotiations have not yet reached the final stage due to Al-Nassr's insistence on raising the financial value of the deal, which has not been fully accepted by the Ittihad side in light of their attempts to reduce the amount.

According to informed sources, Al-Ittihad has placed Abdullah Mado's name as an alternative option in case the Al-Omari deal falters, to ensure reinforcement of the defensive line with a player who has significant experience in the Saudi league.

The officials at Al-Ittihad believe that strengthening the defense is a top priority at this stage, especially with the team’s great ambitions to compete for local and continental titles this season.

With this approach, Al-Ittihad ensures that no potential defensive gap is left, as they seek to reach a final agreement with Al-Nassr regarding Al-Omari, while keeping Mado as an option on the table until the last moments.
