Al-Najma club has completed its official agreement with Spanish club Almeria and Brazilian player Lazaro Vinicius to sign a professional contract, just hours before the closure of the summer transfer market in Saudi Arabia.

A special source revealed to 'Al-Riyadiyah' newspaper that the Al-Najma management received the player's and his club's approval on Wednesday morning, with the deal including a clause that grants the Spanish club a percentage of any future sale proceeds.

Vinicius, born in March 2002, is considered one of the key players in Almeria's squad in the Spanish league, having played 58 matches in which he scored 7 goals and provided one assist, and he has previously participated with his national youth teams.

The young winger has played two matches with the Brazil U-16 team, three matches with the U-17 team, and one appearance with the Olympic team, reflecting his significant technical value.

Vinicius began his football career with Flamengo in 2019 before moving to Almeria in 2022, and he played last season on loan with Brazilian Palmeiras, with his current market value being two million euros according to 'Transfermarkt'.

This deal is part of Al-Najma's plan to strengthen its squad, as the team has made 7 foreign signings this summer, the most notable being Moroccan Jawad El Yamiq, Iraqi Ali Jassim, and Honduran Rommel Quioto, in addition to signing 11 local players to enhance its roster.
