The management of Al-Hilal Club has officially begun steps to open negotiations with right-back Hamad Al-Yami, aiming to renew his contract which ends with the conclusion of the current sports season, according to exclusive sources for 'Asharq Al-Awsat'.

This move comes after the impressive levels that Al-Yami displayed with the team during its external training camp, in addition to his remarkable performance in the recent FIFA Club World Cup, which has boosted the management's confidence in his abilities.

The player joined Al-Hilal from Al-Qadisiyah in December 2020, before being loaned to Al-Shabab for a short period, after which he returned and established his place within the Al-Hilal lineup.

Al-Yami has contributed to achieving several local and continental championships with the team, making him one of the key names relied upon by Al-Hilal in the right-back position, especially with his ability to provide balanced defensive and offensive roles.

During his participation in the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, Al-Yami appeared as an effective substitute in several matches, most notably against Manchester City, where he contributed to the historic 4-0 victory and qualification to the quarter-finals.
