The management of Al-Taawoun Club has completed its agreement with its counterpart at Khor Fakkan Club in the UAE to loan the Venezuelan left-back Rein Rivas, after extending his contract with the team for three more seasons, according to confirmed private sources.

The sources indicated that Rivas, who played for Al-Taawoun last season on loan from Caracas FC in Venezuela, will undergo medical examinations on Saturday in preparation for officially signing with his new club in the UAE league.

The player participated with Al-Taawoun in 35 matches last season, including 24 games in the local league and 11 matches in the AFC Champions League, where he managed to score two goals, making him one of the key players in the team.

It is noteworthy that the management of Al-Taawoun had secured the right to purchase the player's contract during his first loan from Caracas, before deciding to extend his contract for three seasons, which gave them the freedom to manage his future during the current transfer market.

Rein Rivas was born on March 21, 2003, in the city of Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, and his market value is 400,000 euros, according to the latest updates from Transfermarkt, a site specializing in football statistics.

The 22-year-old player has also played 36 official matches with his previous club Caracas, including six appearances in the Copa Libertadores, where his team was eliminated from the tournament at the group stage.
