Barcelona has received the green light from La Liga to register Swedish player Rony Bardji, making him available for coach Hans Flick in the match against Valencia on Sunday, September 14, as part of the fourth round of La Liga.

Spanish newspaper 'Sport' confirmed that the player has been registered with the number 28 jersey and a card as a player from the B team, after completing his visa procedures and obtaining official approval from La Liga, following the fulfillment of financial fair play conditions.

Barcelona had previously planned to register Bardji in the first team before the match against Valencia, through a temporary financial guarantee, under regulations that allow B team players to participate with the first team after obtaining official clearance from the league.

Javier Gomez, the institutional general director of La Liga, explained that registering any player from the B team requires a review of a circular issued in 2022 to ensure compliance with financial play, confirming that clubs are required to provide financial space on the first team roster if the player earns a salary comparable to first-team players.

With this decision, Bardji will be an additional offensive option in Flick's lineup in the upcoming period, starting with the anticipated match against Valencia.
