Senegal Achieves Important Victory Over Sudan in World Cup Qualifiers
The Senegal national team defeated Sudan with two clean goals in the match held at Abdoulaye Wade Stadium, as part of the seventh round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Kalidou Koulibaly opened the scoring for Senegal in the 13th minute with a brilliant header following a superb pass from Krépin Diatta, and in the 41st minute, Pape Sarr added the second goal after a fine assist from Koulibaly.
With this victory, Senegal raised its points to 15, securing second place in the group standings, while Sudan is in third place with 12 points.
This win enhances Senegal's chances of getting closer to qualifying for the World Cup finals, amid strong competition in the group.
