The Croatian national team achieved a valuable victory over their hosts, the Faroe Islands, with a score of 1-0, in the match held this evening at the Torsvollur Stadium, as part of the fifth round of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

The only goal of the match was scored by Croatian star Andrej Kramaric in the 31st minute, after he took advantage of a superb pass from his teammate Ante Budimir, converting it with a powerful header into the net, granting his team the lead and control of the match.

With this victory, Croatia raised its points tally to 9, placing them in second place in their group standings, maintaining strong hopes for qualification to the upcoming World Cup.

As for the Faroe Islands, they continued their modest results, remaining stuck at 3 points in fourth place, complicating their chances of competing for a qualification spot as the qualifiers approach their decisive stages.
