Al-Akhdoood Loans Borrell from Ittihad
Friday 05-09-2025
Al-Akhdoood Club has completed the contract procedures with young Argentine player Matteo Borrell, born in 2006, coming from Ittihad on loan until the end of the current sports season, with his original club covering all his salaries.

Borrell arrived in Najran accompanied by his father and grandfather, where he received an administrative reception from Al-Akhdoood officials, in a step aimed at strengthening the team with young options capable of making a difference in the Saudi Pro League competitions.

Borrell is considered one of the rising talents in Argentina, having started his career at the San Lorenzo Academy, before moving to Banfield and participating with the under-20 team in 19 matches, during which he scored one goal.

The Argentine player joined Ittihad in September 2024, but he was unable to appear in any official match with the first team during the last season, prompting the management to seek an opportunity that would grant him more playing minutes.

Borrell is distinguished by his remarkable technical abilities in the attacking midfield position, in addition to his tactical flexibility that allows him to play in multiple positions, making him an important option for Al-Akhdoood in the new season.

The club's southern management hopes that this deal will contribute to enhancing the balance within the team, especially with the reliance on young elements who have the motivation to prove themselves in a championship as significant as the Saudi Pro League.
