Barcelona on Alert Regarding International Players
Barcelona is closely following the physical condition of several of its international players during the current international break, especially after Frenkie de Jong and Lamine Yamal finished their national team matches feeling muscular discomfort, although the situation does not seem serious.
The Dutch international player Frenkie de Jong did not complete the match against Poland, in which he participated for 64 minutes, as coach Ronald Koeman decided to substitute him as a precaution after he felt a muscle strain in the hip area.
Koeman said: "Frenkie told us that he feels muscle tension in the hips, so we did not want to take any risks with him."
Although the injury does not seem concerning, Barcelona is continuously monitoring the development of his condition.
On the other hand, Lamine Yamal, the star of the Spanish national team, felt slight discomfort in the lower back during his starting appearance against Bulgaria, where he was crucial as usual.
Despite the absence of a serious injury, Barcelona's medical staff is keen to monitor his condition in coordination with the national team's technical staff.
Barcelona coach Hans Flick relies on De Jong and Yamal as key elements in his lineup, especially at a time when the team is suffering from significant absences due to injury, notably Ter Stegen, Gavi, Alejandro Balde, and Marc Bernal.
