Friday 05-09-2025
The management of Al-Najma Club has taken serious steps to contract with Cameroonian striker Karl Toko Ekambi, as informed sources revealed to "Al-Riyadiyah" that the club has made an official offer to the player during the current transfer period.

The offer presented to Ekambi includes a contract that extends for only one season with an annual salary of up to two million euros, while the player is still considering the offer and has not responded officially at the time of publishing the news, with expectations of a decision being made soon.

Ekambi had worn the jersey of Abha Club two seasons ago after transferring from Olympique Lyon in France, where he signed a contract that extends until the summer of 2025 to strengthen the attack line, before leaving in January 2023 to Al-Ettifaq Club.

With Al-Ettifaq, the Cameroonian striker continued his journey in the Roshan League until the end of his contract in June 2025, becoming a free player available to any team wishing to benefit from his services.

Ekambi, who is 30 years old, has a rich career in European football, having played for Paris from 2010 to 2014, before moving to Sochaux in the French second division from 2014 to 2016.

He also represented Angers from 2016 to 2018, then moved to Villarreal in Spain, where he scored 24 goals over two seasons, before returning to France through Olympique Lyon, scoring 38 goals and providing 14 assists in 92 matches.
