The Saudi newspaper "Al-Yawm" reported that the request from Al-Ahli club to postpone the match against Al-Hilal in the league has been decided to be rejected.
Al-Ahli will face Al-Hilal on Friday, September 19, in the third round of the Saudi Professional League.
Al-Ahli club had submitted an official request to the relevant authorities to postpone the match against Al-Hilal in order to get sufficient rest before the Confederations Cup.
The Saudi Al-Ahli club will face the winner of the match between Auckland City and Egyptian Pyramids on Tuesday, September 23.
