Koulibaly: I Do Not Regret Moving to Al-Hilal
The Senegalese Khalidou Koulibaly, defender of Al-Hilal, revealed his experience wearing the club's jersey, explaining that playing in the Roshan League is strong and competitive.
Koulibaly said in an interview with 'Corriere della Sera': 'I do not regret the decision to move to Al-Hilal at all, and I see it as one of the most correct decisions I have made.'
He added: 'Some downplay the Saudi league, and we often see that; they think playing in Saudi Arabia is like a vacation, which is not true.'
He continued: 'Playing in the Saudi league is very competitive and strong, and we proved that with our performance in the 2025 Club World Cup.'
Koulibaly also praised the Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, stating: 'He is strong, ambitious, and very smart, and he will undoubtedly add to us.'
He added: 'He knows that I am a big fan of Napoli, and I told him I wished he had lost the Champions League, and we laughed a lot.'
He concluded: 'During this current international break, I see that he has not left Riyadh because he wants to maintain his focus and stay close to the club, and he is helping us develop the team.'
