Algerian star Riyad Mahrez expressed his opinion regarding the upcoming edition of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, scheduled to take place in Morocco, confirming that the "Atlas Lions" enter the tournament as the top contenders due to the home advantage.

Mahrez stated in press remarks: "Morocco is the biggest candidate for this cup; they will play on their home ground, and there will be a lot of pressure on them."

Regarding the ambitions of the "Greens," the former captain of the Algerian national team clarified that the goal is clear: to compete for the title despite the strength of the participating teams, adding: "We aim to reach the final and win, even if the task is difficult."

The 2025 edition is considered a pivotal moment for several major teams in the African continent, especially Algeria, which aspires to return to the podium after years of absence.
