The English Premier League topped the list of the most spending European leagues in the summer transfer window with a total of £3.13 billion, a figure that exceeds the total spending of other major European leagues combined.
In second place was the Italian league with spending reaching £1.21 billion, while the German league came in third with a total spending of £866 million.
In fourth place was the Spanish league with total spending reaching £693 million, and in fifth place was the French league with a spending value of £647 million.
