Torino Italian Club Approaches Signing of Algerian Player Juan Hjam

Sunday 31-08-2025
Italian club Torino has opened the door for the signing of Algerian international Juan Hjam, a defender for Swiss club Young Boys, in the last hours of the summer transfer window, which closes tonight, Monday.

According to the website "tifogranata", Torino's management has turned its attention to Hjam after failing in its attempts to sign Dutch player Anas Salah Eddin from Roma, who preferred to join Eindhoven, in addition to Fiorentina's insistence on keeping their player Nicolo Fortini.

Sources indicated that sporting director Davide Vagnati is seeking to reach an agreement with Young Boys to sign Hjam on loan with an option to buy, especially since the Italian club has been monitoring the player for some time.

Hjam, who is 22 years old, is considered one of the most prominent talents in the Swiss league, having participated in 47 matches last season, during which he delivered an impressive performance scoring two goals and providing three assists. He was also named the best left-back in the Swiss league, making him a target for several European clubs.

It is worth noting that Hjam is contracted with Young Boys until the summer of 2028 and recently rejected an attractive offer from Russian club Spartak Moscow, preferring to move to one of the major European leagues.
