Arteta: I won’t talk about this deal, we want to win against Liverpool

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta appeared in a press conference on Sunday ahead of the match against Liverpool in the third round of the Premier League at Anfield.

He began by discussing the team's condition: "Bukayo Saka is improving, but he will be out for a few weeks. He will not undergo surgery; the injury is not as bad as the previous one, but it is unfortunate. It happened at a moment when he needed to exert maximum strength and change direction, and he felt something."

He added: "Odegaard has not trained yet, and if he does, it will be tomorrow. He is doing everything he can to be available, as for Christian Norgaard, Ben White, and Leandro Trossard, they are still doubts for the next match."

He continued: "Kai Havertz? I think he will be out for several weeks, but I hope it won't take months. It's very sad. This is our profession, and now we are losing another player for many weeks.

Regarding the new signing Eberechi Eze: "He has a special energy and a unique aura around him, and he is very excited. I have heard a lot about him, and he has already gained a lot of experience on the pitch. I am very impressed with him; we have many options in this position, so we will see. And of course, I won’t give you any hints."

On the link between Hincapie and Arsenal: "You know the answer. I cannot talk about players who are not part of our team."

He concluded: "Liverpool knows how to win matches in different ways, and for me, this is the challenge I want to overcome and conquer this season, and we have to go there with a winning mentality."
