Fenerbahçe Turkish Club officially announced today, Friday, the dismissal of Portuguese head coach José Mourinho from his position.

This comes after the team's failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, as they were eliminated in the qualifying round against Benfica.

The statement read: "We have parted ways with José Mourinho, who has been our coach since the 2024-2025 season. We thank him for his efforts with our team and wish him success in his future career."

According to information from the "A Spor" network, the Portuguese coach will receive a compensation of 15 million euros from Fenerbahçe following this decision.

Thus, Mourinho's tenure at Fenerbahçe comes to an end, which followed a number of significant coaching experiences, particularly with Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan.
