Inzaghi: The Forward Line Issue Is Not a Concern for Me
Thursday 28-08-2025
The Italian coach Simone Inzaghi of Al-Hilal has clarified that Brazilian Marcos Leonardo and Serbian Alexander Mitrovic are out of his team's list for the Saudi league.

Al-Hilal will face Riyadh tomorrow, Friday, in the opening round of the Saudi Professional League.

Inzaghi said during the pre-match press conference: "The issue of Leonardo exceeding the legal age was not anticipated and made us rethink our evaluation of the foreign players; currently, we only have Caio Cesar as a born player, and we have a 10-day break after tomorrow's match."

He continued: "During this period, we will continue to think, work, and evaluate the situation before finalizing our needs regarding the born players in terms of goalkeeping, defense, or attack."

Inzaghi added: "Leonardo will not be available for us in the league, and Alexander Mitrovic is not fully fit yet, but we have Darwin Nunez, Abdullah Radeef, and Al-Hamdan, and the issue of the forward line is not a concern for me."

He continued: "We are aware of the situation of the strikers with the team, and it is not worrying for me, because if we look at the available players on the wings, they are providing additional support."
