New Regulations in Roshen League Shock Players
Legal advisor Ahmed Al-Sheikhi revealed the implementation of a new regulation in the Saudi Roshen League that prohibits any player who participated in the first round with their club from transferring to another club, except during the winter transfer period.
Al-Sheikhi explained that this rule targets players who were included in the coaches' plans as starters or on the bench in the first round and who were in negotiations with other clubs to sign new contracts.
He pointed out that any player who participates with their team at the beginning of the season and then transfers later will not be able to play with their new club until after the winter transfer period, which poses significant challenges to the tactical plans of the teams.
The legal advisor added that this regulation aims to maintain team stability at the beginning of the season and to prevent influential players from transferring before the completion of the initial rounds, ensuring fair competition among clubs.
Al-Sheikhi concluded his remarks by emphasizing the necessity for clubs and players to be informed about these new amendments before the league starts, to avoid any legal issues or penalties that may be imposed on violating players.
