According to the newspaper "Corriere dello Sport", Lindelof prefers to move to Fiorentina in Italy, where talks are still ongoing between the two parties regarding a potential deal.

The report also clarified that Lindelof wants to reunite with his former Manchester United teammate David De Gea, but he will need to significantly reduce his salary from the €6 million he was earning annually in England.

Fiorentina's interest in signing Lindelof comes amid the possibility of their defender Pietro Comuzzo leaving, as he is sought after by Saudi club Al Hilal.

It is worth mentioning that Lindelof joined Manchester United in the summer of 2017 from Benfica for €35 million, and he played 284 matches with the team, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists, before leaving the club at the end of his contract at the conclusion of last season.
