The President of the Libyan Football Federation, Abdel Mowla Al-Maghrabi, announced that the middle of next October will be the start date for the competitions of the Premier League for the 2025-2026 sports season.

Al-Maghrabi clarified in his statements to the Al-Suwaihli Club radio that the semi-final matches of the Libyan Cup will be completed at the beginning of October, and the final of the Libyan Super Cup will be held just before the anticipated start of the league.

The top official of Libyan football also revealed that the same month will witness an important meeting of the General Assembly in the city of Misrata, during which a committee for appeals and discipline will be elected, which is considered a new organizational addition to the tournament, in addition to discussing the possibility of launching a second competition named 'Premier B'.

These steps aim to enhance the organizational structure of local tournaments and provide a new boost to the Premier League competition in line with the aspirations of Libyan clubs and fans.
