Dortmund Approaches Finalization of Fabio Silva Deal
Monday 25-08-2025
Borussia Dortmund is getting closer to reaching an official agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signing of Portuguese striker Fabio Silva during the ongoing summer transfer window, according to The Athletic newspaper.

The newspaper explained that the potential deal could be worth around 25 million euros, with negotiations between the two clubs continuing over the financial details and bonus terms.

Dortmund began its negotiations with Wolverhampton in early August as part of its efforts to strengthen its attacking line, with Fabio Silva being one of the club's key targets in the current market.

Silva, who is 23 years old, joined Wolverhampton in 2020 from Porto in a record deal worth 35 million pounds, but he has been loaned out several times in recent seasons to clubs such as Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven, Rangers, and Las Palmas.

The Portuguese striker has played only 10 matches with Wolverhampton in the first half of the 2023/2024 season before moving to Rangers, and last season he played with Las Palmas, where he scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists, but he was unable to save the team from relegation.

If the deal is completed, Silva will be the latest departure from Wolverhampton this summer, following the exits of several stars such as Matheus Cunha and Rayan Aït-Nouri.
