
Magrabel: The Idea of Holding Matches Outside Saudi Arabia is Under Study
Omar Magrabel, the CEO of the Saudi Professional League, responded to rumors about the possibility of holding local matches outside the Kingdom.
Recently, there were some reports about the possibility of playing one round of the Roshan Saudi League next season outside the Kingdom.
Magrabel stated in response: "It is not true to hold a round of the league outside the Kingdom, and what I mentioned earlier is that we will study this in the future."
The CEO of the Saudi League continued: "We have started working with the clubs to promote and market the matches, and we will expand this effort this year."
He added: "Regarding television broadcasting, a competition was announced, and several companies and channels attended, and Channel Thamanyah was chosen based on several criteria, and the financial returns from broadcasting have increased by 50%."
He continued: "The distribution of stands in the upcoming season will be 90% for the host and 10% for the guest."
He continued: "Fan attendance is a concern for us in the league, and we are working to improve the experience for fans in the stadiums, and we are working with some clubs to market the matches and hold accompanying events."
