Al-Fateh Sports Club announced the signing of player Ismail Al-Matarji on a contract that extends for two seasons, as part of the team's efforts to strengthen its squad in preparation for the new football season.

Al-Matarji transferred to Al-Fateh on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Wydad Athletic Club, as he had fallen out of favor with coach Mohamed Amin Benhachem.

Reports revealed that the player reached an amicable agreement with the Wydad management, whereby he waived half of his financial dues in exchange for receiving the contract termination document.

Al-Fateh officials are counting on Al-Matarji's addition to provide extra value to the midfield, given his experience and expertise in the national leagues, as he has previously worn the jerseys of Wydad Athletic Club and Chabab Mohammedia.
