Monday 25-08-2025
The Libyan national football team will enter a training camp starting Monday in the city of Benghazi, in preparation for the next two matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where they will first face the Angola national team away, before hosting the Eswatini national team at home.

Senegalese coach Aliou Cissé will oversee the training of the "Knights of the Mediterranean" after announcing his final list following the conclusion of the Premier League, which includes 27 players, including five professionals outside Libyan pitches.

The list includes the trio of professionals from the Tunisian club Club Africain: Ali Youssef, Fadhil Al-Masmar, and Osama Al-Sharimi, in addition to Nour El-Din Al-Qalib, a player from the Sousse-based club, and Mohamed Soula, a professional at Qadsia SC in Kuwait.

The Libyan national team currently occupies third place in Group D with 8 points, behind the leader Cape Verde and second-placed Cameroon, making the upcoming two matches crucial for the team's journey towards competing for a spot in the World Cup.
