Amin Guiri Returns to Training and Reassures the Algerian National Team

The technical staff of the Algerian national team breathed a sigh of relief after international striker Amin Guiri returned to collective training with his team, Olympique Marseille, normally, following the muscle discomfort he felt during yesterday's training session.

French media reports had suggested that Guiri would be absent for a whole week due to a foot injury, but the player, who previously wore the colors of Rennes, resumed training today without any significant issues, dispelling concerns about his readiness.

Guiri's return provides some comfort to national coach Vladimir Petkovic, just days before the national team's camp set for next September, in preparation for the matches against Botswana and Guinea, in the seventh and eighth rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
