Al-Shabab Signs Two New Goalkeepers to Strengthen the Team
Al-Shabab Saudi Club officially announced its signing of goalkeepers Mohammed Al-Muhasnah and Abdulaziz Al-Awairidhi, coming from Al-Ittihad and Al-Riyadh, in a move to strengthen the team in preparation for the start of the new season without disclosing the duration of the contracts.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by the acting chairman of the board Khalif Al-Huwaishan and the executive director of football Dr. Mohammed Al-Nasser, amidst an official welcome for the new players joining the team.
Mohammed Al-Muhasnah moved to Al-Shabab just a few days after Al-Ittihad signed Mohammed Al-Absi from Al-Ettifaq, having fallen out of favor with the team's former coach Laurent Blanc, and he played 10 matches with Al-Ittihad, conceding 17 goals and keeping a clean sheet twice.
As for Abdulaziz Al-Awairidhi, who is 23 years old, he joined Al-Shabab after moving between the clubs of Al-Akhidood, Al-Qadisiyah, and Al-Riyadh, making him a promising option to enhance goalkeeping in the long term.
The signing of the two goalkeepers is part of Al-Shabab's plan to prepare its squad to compete strongly in the Roshan Saudi League, while ensuring strong alternatives to protect the team's goal during the upcoming season.
