Libyan international Osama Al-Sharimi is awaiting a response from the International Football Federation (FIFA) regarding his pending case between his former club Al-Suwaihli and his current club Tunisian Al-Afrqi.

Al-Sharimi's transfer faces a legal crisis after he signed a two-year contract with Al-Afrqi, while Al-Suwaihli insists on its right to extend the player's contract for an additional season according to the terms of the previous agreement between them.

The Libyan club has filed an official complaint with FIFA, objecting to the player's registration with Al-Afrqi, which has delayed the issuance of the international transfer certificate so far, as Al-Suwaihli insists that the player is still bound by a contract with them.

For his part, the lawyer close to Al-Afrqi, Amin Ben Maim, clarified in a statement to the Tunisian program Sport Max that the club's management is working on the option of temporarily registering the player according to FIFA regulations, to avoid his absence from competition, but this solution requires complex administrative procedures and may take some time before a final resolution.
