Italian club Atalanta has decided to terminate its negotiations with English club Fulham regarding the signing of Brazilian striker Rodrigo Muniz, after the English club raised the player's price to 50 million euros, which Atalanta's management deemed excessive and non-negotiable.

Muniz was the first choice to replace the team's top scorer Matteo Retegui, but the complications in negotiations and the limited time remaining in the summer transfer market prompted Atalanta's management to change their strategy.

Atalanta has turned its attention to Nikola Krstović, the striker from Lecce, who has expressed his desire to seek a new experience and move to a club competing at a higher level, especially with previous interest from clubs like Roma and Leeds United.

According to the report, an agreement between Atalanta and Lecce is imminent, with the deal expected to close for 25 million euros plus easily achievable bonuses, bringing the total value to 30 million euros.

Krstović, 25 years old, had an impressive season with Lecce, scoring 11 goals and providing 5 assists in 37 matches in the Italian league, and he is expected to be a strong addition to Atalanta's attack in the new season, especially with the team's participation in the Champions League.
