Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Al-Nassr and player Joao Felix revealed their insights regarding the anticipated clash against Al-Ittihad in the semi-finals of the Saudi Super Cup, where they outlined their ambitions and expectations ahead of the big showdown in Hong Kong.

Jesus confirmed in the press conference that he has previously participated in three editions of the Super Cup and is looking to secure his fourth title in his career, emphasizing that the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo in the team was a major motivation for accepting the challenge of coaching Al-Nassr and striving for titles.

The Portuguese coach pointed out that the match against Al-Ittihad will be tough, especially since he is still working on conveying his ideas to the players after a short period of assuming responsibility, adding that his goal is to prepare the team for strong competition this season.

In response to a question about the request for new foreign players, Jesus stated that Al-Nassr already has a significant number of professionals, which limits the participation of local players, indicating that the current reliance will be on Ayman Yahya in the left-back position, in addition to Abdullah Al-Khaibari and Ali Al-Hassan in the midfield.

For his part, Joao Felix expressed his excitement about playing his first official match with Al-Nassr, confirming that the team is working seriously and improving match after match, and that everyone’s ambition is to win the Super Cup by overcoming Al-Ittihad and then winning in the final.

Felix clarified that he does not wish for the match to extend to extra time or penalties, preferring to settle the result in regular time, noting that the harmony with his teammates is developing quickly thanks to the quality of the players and the coach.

He also spoke about his former teammate Jota, saying: "He is a wonderful player and a special person, and what happened to him was sad, but he believes that the team is capable of moving forward to achieve a new accomplishment."
