Ribeiro Discusses Al Ahly's Dominant Victory Over Farco
Spanish coach José Ribeiro spoke about the significant victory achieved by Al Ahly over Farco on Friday evening in the league.
Al Ahly won against Farco with a score of 4-1 in a match that was part of the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Ribeiro said during the press conference after the match: "An important victory, I congratulate the team and the fans on the win, and the most important thing about the victory is that it happened in a very appropriate manner, and there was complete control over the opponent's midfield, and we were superior in the first half and scored two goals."
He explained: "We talked to the players that this result is not reassuring, when we scored the third goal, the players' performance dropped, and there was a kind of complacency from the players afterwards, and this is what we did not want."
When asked about Mostafa Shobeir's mistake, and whether it might change his views on the goalkeeping position, Ribeiro said: "Initially, the conference comes after the match, I do not like to make individual evaluations of players, and I consider myself lucky to have three good goalkeepers, but in the end, the goalkeeping position needs only one player."
Regarding being influenced by the pressure from fans and media regarding the participation of Ben Sharqi and Diang, he clarified: "This did not happen, these are my convictions, the match was a great motivation for us, I am very happy with the team's collective performance."
