Sky Sports has revealed that Newcastle United is preparing to move quickly to sign striker Yuan Wissa, following Brentford's nearing completion of the deal to acquire player Dango Watara.

According to the report, Wissa's representatives, currently in the United Kingdom, have received assurances from Brentford's management that the club will be willing to negotiate with Newcastle should developments occur regarding the signing of new strikers.

Although Brentford sees Watara as a direct replacement for star Bryan Mbeumo, the completion of the deal does not necessarily mean that Wissa will be available for sale immediately.

Both clubs still need to agree on the transfer value, while Wissa's camp shows readiness to finalize personal terms with Newcastle as soon as an official agreement is reached between the two clubs.

On the other hand, Brentford continues its movements in the transfer market to search for a potential replacement for Wissa in anticipation of his departure during the current transfer window.
