Mohamed El-Shami, the captain of Al-Masry Club in Port Said, promised the club's fans to achieve a championship this season.
El-Shami continued via On Sport FM radio: "The Confederation Cup is our dream at Al-Masry, and I feel that God will bless us this season because of the fans and the management. We were close last season, but God decreed and what He willed happened."
He added: "I have missed many players due to injuries, most notably Baher El-Mohamady, Salah Mohsen, Abdelrahim Daghmoum, and Karim El-Iraqi. All the players in the team are like brothers to me. I wish the team success during the current season and to win a championship, and God willing, I will be with them as soon as possible."
Al-Masry Club is preparing to face Tala'ea El-Gaish tomorrow, Thursday, in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.
