Inigo Martinez's Transfer Sparks Concerns Among Al-Nassr Fans
Sunday 10-08-2025
The announcement by Al-Nassr Club regarding the signing of Spanish defender Inigo Martinez has sparked varied reactions among its fans, especially after the promotional video included the phrase "the last signings of Al-Nassr," which some interpreted in multiple ways.

During the video, the captain of the plane that flew the team to Almeria, Spain, welcomed the new defender by saying: "We are pleased to welcome the last signings of Al-Nassr, the heroic fighting defense leader Martinez," leading some fans to believe that the club had concluded its summer transfers.

Meanwhile, others interpreted the phrase to mean "the latest signing," especially since Al-Nassr had already made several signings in the current transfer window, including the signing of Portuguese player Joao Vilhena, and Saudis Nader Al-Sharari and Abdulmalek Al-Jaber.

Martinez joined Al-Nassr from Barcelona on a free transfer for one season after passing the medical examination conducted in Portugal.

Sources revealed that Al-Nassr granted the player an annual salary of 14 million euros, which will be paid from the club's revenues, amid expectations that he will be a strong addition to the team's defense line in the new season.
