Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea FC is seriously considering selling their player Renato Vega, despite the recent injury to defender Levi Colwill, which could have impacted the club's defensive decisions.

Although the team needs to cover for absences, Vega himself is eager to embark on a new experience in his career, which increases the likelihood of his departure from Stamford Bridge during the current summer transfer window.

According to Romano, progress in negotiations with several clubs interested in signing the player is expected in the coming days, after his transfer to Atletico Madrid recently fell through.

It is worth noting that the young Portuguese defender, who is 22 years old, is considered one of the rising young talents in the Blues' squad and is currently attracting increasing interest from several European clubs looking to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.

Additionally, Renato Vega joined Chelsea in 2024, before going on loan to the Italian club Juventus.
