
Moroccan Star Close to Joining Dutch League
Media reports have revealed that Belgian club Anderlecht and Dutch club Cambuur have reached an official agreement for the transfer of young Moroccan defender Ismail Baouaf during the current summer transfer window.
According to Belgian journalist Sasha Tavolieri, the Moroccan U20 national team player is set to arrive in the Netherlands early next week to complete the procedures for joining Cambuur, which plays in the Dutch second division.
Baouaf, who is 19 years old, is expected to sign a three-season contract with an option for a fourth season.
Ismail Baouaf is considered one of the rising talents in Moroccan football, having progressed through the youth ranks of Anderlecht, and he is contracted with the Belgian team until the summer of 2026.
