Friday 08-08-2025
Arsenal has officially announced the renewal of the contract for their talented player Ethan Nwaneri, the young attacking midfielder, who has committed his future to the team after his impressive performances and rising level since joining the Hale End Academy at the age of eight.

The club noted that Nwaneri made history as the youngest player to participate with the first team in the Premier League at the age of 15 years and 181 days. He achieved significant accomplishments last season, participating in 37 matches and scoring 9 goals, including notable goals in the League Cup, Premier League, and Champions League.

Nwaneri scored three goals in the Premier League before his eighteenth birthday, making him the third player to achieve this feat after Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney. He received the Goal of the Month award, in addition to the Player of the Month title in February 2025.

He also participated with the England U18 team on his birthday and was a member of the England team that won the U21 European Championship in June 2025.

Ethan Nwaneri stated after signing the contract: "Signing this contract means a lot to me, and I consider this season my first real season in men's football. I am excited to help the team achieve victories and bring glory to the club, as this is where I feel at home."
