Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea is preparing to return to Old Trafford when his current team Fiorentina faces Manchester United in a friendly match next Saturday.

De Gea is set to receive a special welcome and tribute from Manchester United fans and players, in appreciation of his long career with the team, having played 545 official matches over 12 years, making him the seventh most capped player in the club's history.

De Gea had left United on a free transfer before recently joining Fiorentina after a period of hiatus, reviving his football career.

Manchester United confirmed that a tribute moment will be organized for the Spanish goalkeeper before the match kicks off, acknowledging his significant contributions to the team.

In a friendly atmosphere, De Gea sent a video message to his former teammate Bruno Fernandes saying: "Bruno, you can't score against me, and if you do, it's because I allowed you to. I look forward to seeing you all at Old Trafford on Saturday."
