Abdul Ilah Hossawi, a midfielder for Union, is close to wearing the Cooperation jersey during the current summer transfer window, in a move aimed at providing the young player with more participation opportunities.

Union intends to loan Hossawi for one season to Cooperation, based on the recommendation of the coaching staff led by Frenchman Laurent Blanc, who prefers to grant him regular playing minutes away from the pressure of competition in the starting lineup.

The newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" confirmed that Hossawi's transfer is unrelated to Union's negotiations with Saad Al-Nasser, a Cooperation player who is attracting interest from several clubs amid strong competition for his signature.

Hossawi had a remarkable season with Khaleej before returning to Union, but he did not find enough opportunities to appear last season, as he participated in only 12 matches with the team.

The player has previously represented the Saudi national team in the Gulf Cup in Kuwait, under the guidance of former coach Hervé Renard, and hopes that his next step with Cooperation will be a new starting point in his career.
