Tuesday 05-08-2025
The management of Mouloudia Algiers is steadily moving towards signing the South African striker Cassius Mailola, in what is considered one of the most prominent moves during the current summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old player is currently with Toronto FC in the United States and was on loan last season to Wydad Casablanca, where he delivered impressive performances, scoring 6 goals and providing 6 assists, making him the focus of attention from several clubs.

Mailola has one title to his name, having won the South African league title in the 2022/2023 season with Mamelodi Sundowns. He also participated in the FIFA Club World Cup where he managed to score a goal against Al Ain FC from the UAE, showcasing his ability to shine on major stages.

The player's current market value is estimated at around one million euros, reflecting his standing in the African market.

The deal came at the direct request of South African coach Rulani Mokwena, who is familiar with the player's capabilities, having worked with him during his previous coaching stint at Wydad. Mokwena expressed great admiration for Mailola's skills, considering him a valuable addition to Mouloudia's squad for the upcoming season.
