
Al-Ahly Rejects Offer for Marwan Attia's Departure
Press sources confirmed that the officials of Al-Ahly club rejected an official offer from the Qatari club Al-Siliyah to contract with Marwan Attia, the team's midfielder, during the ongoing summer transfer window.
According to press sources, Al-Siliyah's management offered Al-Ahly a deal to loan Marwan Attia for 1.3 million dollars, with an option to buy at the end of the loan.
The same sources clarified that Mohamed Youssef, the sports director of Al-Ahly, rejected the offer because the Spanish coach José Ribeiro is keen on Marwan Attia's continuation, in addition to the unclear situation regarding Malian player Aliou Dieng.
Recent press reports indicated that Al-Ahly's management intends to amend Marwan Attia's contract in terms of the number of years and salary in the upcoming period.
