Zakho Signs Guinean Striker Mohamed Yatara
Zakho Club announced its official signing of Guinean striker Mohamed Yatara, coming from the ranks of Al Dhafra Club in the UAE, as part of the management's efforts to strengthen the team's lineup with high-quality players before the start of the Iraqi Premier League for the upcoming season.
Yatara, born in 1993, has a long and distinguished professional career in European and Asian leagues, having previously represented several well-known clubs in France, most notably Olympique Lyon, where he developed as a youth player, in addition to experiences with Auxerre, Angers, and Pau, as well as a stint in the Armenian league.
The Guinean striker is known for his diverse attacking capabilities, excelling as a center forward and possessing extensive experience in dealing with aerial balls and moving within the penalty area, which made him a target for several clubs in the region, before Zakho finalized the deal in its favor after positive negotiations with Al Dhafra.
Yatara has become the latest name to join the Zakho squad, and he is expected to be a significant offensive addition to the team, especially with his experience of over 30 international matches with the Guinea national team, giving him a technical weight and international experience that could make a difference in important matches.
