Al-Hilal has entered into a fierce competition with both Al-Ittihad and Al-Dhariyah to secure the signature of Saudi goalkeeper Ahmed Al-Kassar during the current summer transfer window.

The three clubs have begun direct negotiations with Al-Qadisiyah's management to persuade them to part with Al-Kassar, who is considered one of the top local goalkeepers at present.

Al-Kassar's contract with Al-Qadisiyah extends until the summer of 2027, which makes the negotiations require a financial agreement that satisfies both parties before completing the deal.

Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad aim to strengthen the goalkeeper position with a distinguished local element, in anticipation of any emergencies during the season, while Al-Dhariyah seeks to sign the goalkeeper to support its ambitions in the first division.

Al-Kassar has an impressive record of achievements, having won the King's Cup with Al-Faisaly, clinched the Yelo League with Al-Qadisiyah, and defended the Saudi national team's goal in the recent Asian Cup.
