Juventus Targets Arnau Martinez
The Italian club Juventus has opened negotiations with the Spanish club Girona to sign right-back Arnau Martinez, as part of the Bianconeri's efforts to compensate for the anticipated departure of American Timothy Weah to Olympique Marseille.
According to the website "Football Italia", Juventus is interested in signing Martinez, who is 22 years old and possesses tactical flexibility that allows him to play in several defensive positions, whether as a right-back in a four-man defense, as a right winger, or within a three-man defense.
Martinez's contract with Girona runs until the summer of 2027, but the Spanish club is open to selling him during the current summer transfer window, with estimates suggesting that an offer ranging between 10 and 12 million euros could be sufficient to complete the deal.
Martinez was also a target for AC Milan this summer, before the Rossoneri shifted their focus towards signing Zakaria Labyad from Swiss club Young Boys.
It is worth noting that Juventus recently signed Joao Mario to strengthen the right flank, but coach Igor Tudor still needs additional reinforcements in this position, especially with Weah's impending departure to Marseille in a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
